History
The UO Greek community was established over 100 years ago. The core values of our community are leadership, service and academic excellence. The Greek community has established twelve scholarships that are awarded to incoming freshmen each academic year in recognition of students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence throughout their high school careers. It is not necessary to be considering membership in the Greek community to be eligible for these scholarships. We believe these attributes are essential for new students to excel at the UO and to lead successful, meaningful lives after graduation. These awards also mirror the academic success that the Greek community has been achieving for over 100 years.

- Minimum Requirements: 3.0 GPA, resident of Oregon, current high school seniors becoming incoming freshman students for fall 2009, men & women
- Evaluation based on: Community service and leadership experience
- Due Date: Submitted in writing by August 8, 2009
- Number of Scholarships: Six scholarships: three for men and three for women
- Amount: $250 - two for men and two for women; $1,000 - one for each man and woman

- Minimum Requirements: 3.0 GPA, students who reside out of the state of Oregon, current high school seniors becoming incoming freshman students for fall 2009, men only
- Evaluation based on: Scholarship, community/work service and leadership experience
- Due Date: Submitted in writing by August 8, 2009
- Number of Scholarships: Three scholarships - men only
- Amount: Two in the amount of $250; one in the amount of $500
